In July 2022, the China Society for the Promotion of Science and Technology Commercialization (CSPSTC) announced the Decision on the Third Science and Technology Award. "Plasma Melting Treatment Technology and Advanced System Equipment R&D and Demonstration" jointly applied by Jiangsu Tianying Plasma Technology Co. Ltd and Jiangsu Tianying Environmental Equipment Manufacturing Co. Ltd won the first prize of Science and Technology Innovation Award.
The plasma melting technology developed by CNTY provides a fly ash treatment method that is harmless and reliable with no secondary pollution, strong adaptability and wide applicability. Because the fly ash contains a high level of chlorine, calcium, heavy metals and dioxins, the plasma melting method used hazardous waste containing silicon as an additive in the process of treatment, so as to solidify heavy metals and destroy dioxins while recovering chlorine, sulphur, lead, zinc, slag and flue gas energy, leaving no secondary pollution in the treatment of fly ash generated by MSW incineration and bottom slag generated by hazardous waste incineration.
The Science and Technology Award of the CSPSTC is an award approved by the National Office of Science and Technology Award. The Science and Technology Innovation Award is mainly granted to companies and individuals with original designs or are capable of absorbing advanced technologies to solve hotspot or key scientific and technological problems and reaching an advanced level in the industry at home or abroad. In 2022, the CSPSTC awarded a total of 144 scientific and technological achievements, of which 39 were granted the first prize for scientific and technological innovation.
